This is our last week of Speech Services for the school year.  Thank you for all of your hard work this year, but especially over the past few months.  I know there have been some challenging moments, and I appreciate you persevering!  I hope you have a great summer, and hope to see you soon!

  1. What’s it called when you run through a desert? A dry run! What did the bull with no money do at the shopping mall? Charge! Jokes and riddles that contain a pun—a play on words—can challenge the mind and make you laugh. The humor comes from the play on a word that has several meanings.  Try to create your own joke using a multiple meaning word or try some of the words below:

2. Mother's Day is this weekend. Let's celebrate your Mom!
How are you and your Mom alike? How are you different? Find at least 3 ways for each. Complete the Venn Diagram worksheet below. If you can’t print, draw your own. Send me a copy so I can see how you did!
Activities for the Week of April 27th
 

Let’s take a break from reading this week!

1. Complete one multiple meaning word page.  If you don’t have a printer, just use any paper you can find.
2.  Play a game with someone in your house.  Some good ideas are Apples to Apples, Guess Who, Life, Clue, Battleship, Scattergories.  If you don’t have one of these, just choose a game where you need to communicate with other players.
