Child Study Team
The Child Study Team consists of a supervisor, a school psychologist, a learning disabilities teacher consultant, and a school social worker.
The Child Study Team members are available to consult with teachers and parents with regard to the use of various strategies in supporting students who may be experiencing problems academically or socially.
In the event that a student is referred to the Child Study Team an Identification Meeting will be scheduled. At this meeting it will be determined if a Child Study Team Evaluation is warranted and if so an Evaluation Plan is developed. Parent permission must be obtained before proceeding with evaluation. After the evaluation is completed, the Child Study Team’s findings will be shared with parents, and if necessary, an Individual Education Program will be developed to meet the student’s needs.
