About Me

Dear Readers,

I am a true "Jersey Girl" who has lived in New Jersey my whole life. Currently, I live "down the shore". I am proud to say that I did my undergraduate coursework at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. While at Rutgers, my studies were mainly focused on education and anthropology. I continue to be loyal to Rutgers and will cheer on my Scarlet Knights, win or lose.

I earned my Master in the Art of Teaching degree at Marygrove College. However, my education did not end there. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I regularly attend workshops, lectures, and seminars of various kinds.

I spent the first 10 years of my teaching career in the Manalapan-Englishtown school system. There, I taught 4th grade for nine years, and I taught 5th grade for one year.  Here at Cranbury School, I have taught 4th grade for 15 years, and this year I am teaching 5th grade for the third time. I feel honored to have spent these years in two high-quality school districts.

I call my students Csatari's Champions.  In fact, I strive to be their champion. I strive to support their growth as citizens, as students, and as individuals.

I cherish their successes and take enjoyment in seeing them become more and more independent.  I believe, as Thomas Carruthers said, "A teacher is one who makes himself progressively unnecessary.“

Wishing all of you much pride, joy, and contentment as you continue your growth and education whether in the classroom or elsewhere.

Regards,
Lisa Csatari
