About Me

I am so thrilled to be a member of the Academic Support Team at Cranbury School!
For 16 years, I taught Social Studies for 6-8th graders in Cranbury. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a rewarding career, phenomenal students, and a supportive family of colleagues, and am thankful that I've been able to grow as a teacher and learner by planting my roots in Cranbury. I moved into an Academic Support role last year, as my passion for ensuring students feel seen and known while navigating the challenges of middle school grew during my time as a Social Studies teacher. I hope to provide the positive encouragement and tools needed for students to know that they belong, to feel confident in taking risks, and to celebrate the excitement of growth while they work toward their goals as lifelong learners.

I grew up in a small town in Southern New Jersey and graduated from The College of New Jersey where I studied History, Secondary Education, and Art/Art History. I knew Cranbury would be my teaching home even before I graduated, and it has truly always felt like home to me. Our amazing community of fellow teachers, students, and families makes Cranbury School a wonderful place to work. I love the challenge of education, which drives me to continue learning and growing professionally so that I can help all students recognize and reach for their truest selves. To that end, I am currently pursuing an ESL certification to further support our amazing student community. I also co-advise the middle school PEAC (Perspectives and Equity in Action Club) with Mrs. Odman, where we examine current events, study amazing world-changing individuals, and work on building student voice through learning and action.

I live in West Windsor with my family, which includes a new era for my husband and I as we now have a middle schooler of our own! Although my roles as mom and teacher don't leave much free time, I like to fill the time I do have with exercise, cooking, and visiting new places with my family!
