Cranbury Township Board of Education

Cranbury Township School District has a nine member Board of Education. Members of the Board are elected for a three year term. The Cranbury Township Board of Education establishes policies, approves personnel, adopts budgets, approves curriculum, awards bids, and makes final decisions on educational issues. However, the responsibilities of day-to-day operations are that of the Chief School Administrator and through him or her to the administrative, teaching, and support staff of the district. All meetings are open to the public except when matters of confidentiality are discussed, in conformance with the NJ Open Public Meetings Act.

For a list of all Board Meetings please see the Board Meetings Date tab. All Board Meetings are held in the Large Group Room of the Cranbury School at 7:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. Visit the Board Members page for biographical information on each of our members. Below please also find the most current Board goals.
On January 13, 2020, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law A4710, the Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Act. The Act establishes school district responsibilities in educating gifted and talented students and requires that a coordinator for gifted and talented services be appointed at the state level. Any individual who believes the district has not complied with the provisions of 18A:35-38 may file a complaint with the Board of Education.
