Minding Your Mind - Student, Staff, Parent & Community Events
As part of our health and wellness initiative, Cranbury School is happy to announce the partnership with the Minding Your Mind Speaker’s Program. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, Cranbury School will host the Minding Your Mind program for 7th-8th grade students and staff on Monday, Oct. 15 to help raise awareness about the importance of mental health and developing positive life strategies.
In addition to this program, the Minding Your Mind Speaker’s Program will also host a parent and community night on Monday, October 15th at 6:30 p.m. in The Large Group Room. Please R.S.V.P. to Rebecca Leonard rleonard@cranburyschool.org by October 10th.
The Minding Your Mind Speaker’s Program is made up of all young adults who have struggled with mental health issues. These speakers visit schools and community organizations to share their stories and to help break the stigma regarding mental health. Minding Your Mind’s Speaker Program has received laudatory responses from area schools and organizations, and their speakers are routinely invited back to speak at the same schools on multiple occasions. During the 2017-2018 school year, they completed over 1,400 presentations.
