Cranbury School Jazz Band Places at National Jazz Band Festival

On Saturday, February 15th, the Cranbury School Jazz Band competed at the National Jazz Festival in Philadelphia. The National Jazz Festival was created by instrumental and vocal jazz directors, caring parents, supportive jazz musicians, and avid jazz supporters in an effort to fill the void of a lack of a major national jazz festival with an educational philosophy.  Upon the cancellation of other festivals, the National Jazz Festival team saw a need to create an event that allows thousands of students to continue to share their talents and hard work with their peers from around the country.  We are excited to announce that our Jazz Band placed first in the middle school division at the competition!  Congratulations to our Jazz Band - Rehan Ahmed, Owen Barry, Luca Bonagura, Angela Chen, Matthew Chen, David Edenbaum, Ricky Eisenhauer, Joseph George, Carolyn Gu, Anika Hadap, Larry He, Sara Hu, Emily Huang, Jonathan Ji, Geneva Kasziba, Ayan Khanna, Kona Macallister, Aidan McKenzie, Andres Mejia, Alec Pullan, Navika Sonig, Helen Tung, Donovan Vaccaro, Charlie Vachris, Vishaka Vaidyanathan and Emily Yun and Instrumental Music Teacher Dave Pollack for his leadership!
