The New Jersey Association for Gifted Children is a passionate advocate promoting programs, networks, and legislative actions to meet the needs of gifted learners statewide. Believing a strong and supportive partnership between parents and educators serves to increase understanding and expand opportunities for the gifted, NJAGC, continues to be a champion for gifted children.
The NJAGC’s Administrator of the Year Award, is presented to an individual who has made a positive impact through his/her leadership in supporting the needs of gifted children and their educators. This year, our very own Dr. Susan Genco was presented with this prestigious award for 2019.
As part of the award process the NJAGC solicits nominations from schools statewide. Those nominating an administrator are asked to request letters of recommendation in support of the candidacy. The successful nominee is then selected upon a committee review of all submissions. Dr. Genco was selected for her outstanding contributions in the field of Gifted Education as exemplified in her tenure at Cranbury School. While the award is for the 2019 year, the impact Dr. Genco has made on Cranbury School will be much further lasting.
Dr. Genco, along with other student and educator recipients, were recognized during an awards dinner held Thursday, March 21st. Mrs. Carol Rogaski, Cranbury School’s Gifted and Talented teacher presented Dr. Genco with the award. Congratulations to Dr. Genco and her family on this wonderful accomplishment!
