hi my name is Elizabeth Hazard and I'm a student at Cranbury School grammar it was founded on March 7th 1872 and it's been the home of thousands of people today I'm going to take you around the town to see and learn about the interesting history and Beautiful List as I said before cranberry was founded by a man named George Carteret however it was only established as a town on March 7th 18 cm buy the New Jersey legislator beforehand it was an area of land being lived on by few members of the Quaker Community there are many interesting things about cranberry that some people who have lived here their whole lives. Now an example of this is that a home in Cranberry was being used by Alexander Hamilton and Marcus de Lafayette as a headquarters during the American Revolutionary War and then visited by General George Washington on June 2617 78th before the town was officially established and was only a home to few people Additionally the church on Main Street in July of 1839 was being used as a House of Presbyterian worship to James Ross head and Thomas story many buildings in the town date all the way back to this time such as the Cranbury Inn the Cranbury School the fire station devel in many houses around the town set in 1964 areas of land near Brainerd Lakes or purchased by the board and officially became a new part of the town cranberries also well known for its education system in the Cranberries Warriors of 1996 through 1997 to 2009 to 2010 and 2016 through 2017 it was formally designated as a National Blue Ribbon School the highest honor in America Public School King cheap in more recent years many new places have come into the town such a steady Prairie pizza Gatlinburg Cheetos and much more the town is known for having very interesting historic sites including the media it is also known for having some of the best boy scout cranberries considered to be one of the most well-preserved towns in Middlesex County and is a popular place for people to visit and learn about their history
