Students who may need assistance with their academic program may be referred to “The Learning Club” (TLC).  TLC is in place to assist upper grade students who miss three or more homework assignments in a three-week period.  This club offers an extra academic boost featuring personalized tutoring and attention in a small group setting.

Club participants are required to attend fifteen sessions, or three full school weeks.  The TLC Coordinator will notify the students and parent/guardians of referral to the TLC program.  The TLC Coordinator will work with the parents/guardians to schedule the session dates.

The club is held Monday through Friday before school, 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.  For the duration of a student’s participation in TLC, incomplete homework notifications will be given to the TLC teacher.  The Learning Club is purely for academic support.
